A shadowy network of “cyber-anarchists” has been linked to a proliferation of controversial “rape pages” on Facebook that are drawing millions of users, including many young Britons, Australians and Americans, to the social networking site.

Don’t you love how they make some school kids with sick senses of humor into a “shadowy network?”

P.S. Facebook, your free speech stuff would be more convincing if you weren’t such pearl clutchers when it comes to nudity.  I mean you ban baby pics for Pete’s sake.

An anarchist group has claimed responsibility for the bomb left in Pasila last week. The group lauded the attack in a statement on their website, and also claimed responsibility for a petrol bomb attack on a service yard in the district of Tapaninvaino and a few other acts of vandalism.

Jan. 8, 2012, will mark the 100th anniversary of the San Diego City Council’s passage of an ordinance banning public speeches in a six-block area, including the Downtown area known as “Soapbox Row,” in an alleged effort to hamper the Industrial Workers of the World’s ability to recruit members. Thousands of IWW “Wobblies” flooded into San Diego to resist the ordinance; they were met with police brutality and vigilantism, which reached a horrifying crescendo with the alleged abduction, torture and tar-and-feathering of renowned anarchist Emma Goldman’s partner, Ben Reitman. (That’s according to multiple accounts, including Goldman’s memoir, the Journal of San Diego Historyand research compiled by Jim Miller in the book Under the Perfect Sun.)

Sure, there are serious-minded workshops such as “Histories of State Repression” and “Labor History & Struggle in NC,” and fashionable concepts such as “Crime & Community” (description: “Crime can be pretty sexy.
